“To get out of here is simply confusing
It’ll be a challenge for sure, and not at all amusing
But the good thing is that you can walk, jump, and climb
Hop right on those bricks, and don’t waste your time!”
HERE WE GO
INTRODUCTION
Mousey finds himself scurrying inside a wall when he hears footsteps. Sir Bitsy is triggered by Mousey pulling on his web, and comes out to introduce himself. They have a conversation about Mousey's predicament, and Sir Bitsy reveals to Mousey simple mechanics of the game: walking, jumping, hopping on bricks, and climbing on sturdy blocks of cheese.
SIR BITSY
What is that tugging I feel!
Hey, you! Stop! You down there!
Oh my, oh my, is this real?
A little mouse just appeared out of thin air!
MOUSEY
My apologies!
My name is Mousey - I’m not from this town
I’m lost, you see, and I am feeling quite down
I miss my parents, my siblings, and my friends
Anyway, sorry for pulling on your rear end.
SIR BITSY
My rear-end! Hmph!
I can see that you’re upset, so I’ll let that slide
If you’re lost, maybe I can be your guide?
MOUSEY
Huh? You-you mean you would do that for me?
Hooray! Hooray! I would be so happy!
Bless you, dear Mister, and bless your family too
Just one thing I have to ask, who are you?
SIR BITSY
My name is Sir Bitsy, I live here on the wall
I’ve seen many things, and I know it all
I know that you mice like those blocks made of milk,
I can see that sitting here from my web made of silk
Look around, Mousey, what do you see?
MOUSEY
All I see are bricks - are we inside a wall?
SIR BITSY
Yes, but look again, is there nothing else at all?
MOUSEY
Blocks of cheese! Oh, I can’t believe my eyes.
Why are they here? What a wonderful surprise.
SIR BITSY
They were left by mice who came before you
Yes, dear Mousey, they never made it through
Be very very careful, and pay attention to me
What I’m about to say might just set you free
To get out of here is simply confusing
It’ll be a challenge for sure, and not at all amusing
But the good thing is that you can walk, jump, and climb
Hop right on those bricks, and don’t waste your time
There are bricks that are low, there are bricks that are high
They’re out of reach - don’t you wish you could fly?
But don’t fret, just look for blocks of cheddar cheese,
Stack them on one another, now climb up with ease!
Try that, Mousey!
HEALTH CHEESE TRIGGER
Sir Bitsy appears to explain to Mousey the benefits of mozzarella (a.k.a health cheese), a collectable item that would replenish Mousey’s health bar.
SIR BITSY
Mousey, good job! You’re a pretty tough fella.
What we have here is some fresh mozzarella!
Eat these, and you will soon feel as good as new
If I weren’t a spider, I’d sure eat some too!
DUST BUNNY TRIGGER
Sir Bitsy appears to explain to Mousey the dangers of Dust Bunnies, right after he bumps into one.
SIR BITSY
These grimy critters! Are you all right, dear Mousey?
Of course not. You just ran right into a Dust Bunny!
These guys and gals don’t mean to offend you at all,
But they will sure make you cough, and eventually fall.
SUPER CHEESE TRIGGER
Sir Bitsy appears to explain to Mousey the benefits of swiss cheese (a.k.a super cheese), a collectable item that would help Mousey become indestructible for a limited amount of time.
SIR BITSY
Oh wow! Look, Mousey. It’s a nice block of Swiss
To run through Dust Bunnies, all you will need is this
They won’t make you cough, when you’re so big and strong
You’ll run them right over, but not all day long!
Three seconds, Mousey, that’s all it will give you
But three seconds is all you’ll need to get through
With Sir Bitsy’s instructions, Mousey navigates the inside of the wall, and stumbles upon the first collectable item: a newspaper clipping! Mousey puts the item in his pocket and exits the level, with Sir Bitsy following right behind him.
