Game and Creative Writing
My writing career started when I was a seven year old child in Vietnam. My poem about a day at the beach was published by a communist youth magazine, and that day, I earned an equivalence of 50 cents and a coupon for ice cream! My love for writing only grew from there, and I never stopped. My academic training has allowed me to turn what I love into a skill, and I am proud to present you my work, all of which I bear great joy to have authored.
SEIZE THE CHEESE (GAME SCRIPT)
Poetic dialogues between characters of a 2.5D puzzle platformer. Seize The Cheese follows the journey of a lost little mouse, guided by a spider called Sir Bitsy (first name: Itsy).
FABRIC PANIC (GAME SCRIPT)
A game screenplay written for a zen-fashion puzzle game, telling the story of a seamstress and her cat as they run a fabric boutique in Sakura Town.
MIO (SHORT STORY)
A piece about a hospital-ridden little girl who loves to write, belonging in my collection of little stories about patients at a hospital.
MY DEAR MAY (EXCERPT)
Inspired by my mother’s childhood, the story is of a girl born to a Vietnamese woman and an American captain towards the end of the Vietnam war. It is captured through the perspective of her father’s little brother.
