“Who doesn’t know about Smudge?
He’s the cat who lives in this house.
He’s grumpy, and holds a grudge
Against anyone who’s a mouse!”
A ROOM JUST FOR FOOD
INTRO
Mousey finds himself entering Mrs. Butternut’s pantry, a room with more food than he has ever seen in his life. Before he proceeds, he takes a look at the newspaper clipping in his pocket. It is a piece of an article about Smudge -- the medal winning cat! This is where Sir Bitsy fills Mousey in about the existence of Smudge, and how he poses a constant danger to any mouse within a five kilometer radius.
MOUSEY
Smudge Butternut, the gold medalist
He’s a champion in catching mice
Once he aimed, he never missed
He never even pounces twice
At local tournaments, he came first,
And even international ones too
He is known for his bloodthirst
Gobbles them up, doesn’t chew
Sir Bitsy, who is Smudge?
SIR BITSY
Who doesn’t know about Smudge?
He’s the cat who lives in this house.
He’s grumpy, and holds a grudge
Against anyone who’s a mouse
He’s the reason you should hurry
You have got no time to lose
Look Mousey, you’re in the pantry
Why don’t we look around for clues?
MOUSEY
A pantry? What does that mean?
A pantry - I’ve never been!
SIR BITSY
It’s just another room in a house
A room for food, not for a mouse!
MOUSEY
I will hurry, I will find a way
I will go now, I don’t have all day!
To get through this level, Mousey must strategically use blocks of cheese to get through to places, and of course, avoid Dust Bunnies. He finds his next collectable item, an old cork, before exiting the level, and heading to the kitchen counter.
